Jen is a self-taught artist based in the Okanagan, inspired by the region's natural beauty, her love for animals, and a passion for bold, expressive colors. After spending over 15 years working in animal care, including roles in wildlife rehabilitation, the SPCA, and veterinary assistance, Jen transitioned into the trades, earning her Weld Inspector Certification. However, in 2020, the pandemic prompted a life-changing decision: to pursue a healthier lifestyle and explore her creative passions.
Jen rediscovered her childhood passion for art, teaching herself a wide range of techniques—from acrylic & oil painting to charcoal & graphite drawings, airbrushing, dry pastels, and digital manipulation—all without the benefit of formal art classes. In the process, Jen has honed her unique artistic voice and developed a distinct and personal style that is rarely seen.
Jen now brings her skills together to create one-of-a-kind, ultra-realistic paintings that capture life and energy in every brushstroke. Known for her striking detail and vivid colors, her work brings subjects to life in a rare and immersive way.
Jen is currently exploring the creation of hyperrealistic dragon paintings, which are painted with the same meticulous detail as her other works. These dragons, grounded in realism, appear as though they were taken from a National Geographic photograph, offering a captivating and authentic depiction of mythical creatures that seem to exist in the natural world.
By embracing new tools and techniques, Jen has built a thriving art business, leaving her career behind to focus fully on her art.
