Hyperrealism • Multi-Media Artist

""

My art journey only started as a way to pass the time during Covid lock-downs. I was a weld inspector in oil & gas at the time, and when the world shut down I needed something to keep me busy other than tv. I needed a "hobby," desperately. So remembering I liked art as a kid, as every kid does, I ordered some paint-by-numbers from Amazon.

That then sparked the need to push further, as I wanted to challenge myself more. So I decided to check out YouTube, seeing if they had art tutorials, as I was not a person who spent much time online. And my life has never been the same. YouTube opened up a world to me that I did not even realize existed, artists teaching free tutorials on the basic and advanced steps into the world of art no matter the medium!

I was beyond excited so I dove in, head first, no looking back. I learned about acrylics, oils, Charcoal, graphite, airbrushing, colored pencils, dry pastels and so much more. I learned about basic photography, color editing, photoshop, printing, website building, and the list goes on and on.

About a year later I went back to work and realized I was no longer happy. I had changed. The oil & gas sector was the same, it was me that was different. I had this urge, this calling to create. I felt a pain, a hurt, when I was not painting. At first I was really surprised as I didn't realize the true joy that painting had given me until I no longer had it.

So after I completed that job I decided to retire from being a Weld inspector and pursue art fully and completely.

I did not know a single person in the art world, anything about being an entrepreneur, but I knew the only time my heart sings is when I am creating.

I am now evolving into the world of hyperrealism, I am so infatuated with how my hands can create something that looks and feels even more real that the reference photo that inspires the painting.

I invite you two join me on this journey of pushing the boundaries with every piece of art that I create, grow with me in this uncharted territory, let's discover it together.

Thank you for your support, it means everything to me. Without you, my art would have no meaning without all of you to share it with.
